The Mid-Texas Board of Ministry is gearing up for the next round of ordinations! If you believe you are qualified to be ordained as a Deacon or Elder according to ¶405 and ¶407 of the Transitional Book of Doctrine and Discipline, please email our Board of Ministry Administrative Assistant at laurengreenyates@midtexasgmc.org with your most recent transcripts to request an ordination interview. Please specify if you are pursuing Deacon or Elder ordination.

All requests for ordination interviews must be received by August 1. We will review your request and transcripts to verify your educational qualifications to approve you for an ordination interview. If you are approved, we will send you an ordination packet that includes written work and sermons on August 22. These packets will need to be completed and returned no later than September 22. Interviews will be scheduled for October 28-30. All those approved for ordination at that time will be ordained at the Annual Awakening in February.

If you are seeking ordination in February, please remember these important dates:

• August 1 – deadline to request an ordination interview
• September 22 – deadline to submit ordination paperwork and sermons
• October 28-30 – ordination interviews
