Director of Family Ministries - Hondo Methodist Church, Hondo, TX

Hondo Methodist Church (HMC) is looking for an enthusiastic individual to fill the newly created position of director of Family Ministries. They will establish, lead, and direct the children’s and youth’ ministries of HMC in close collaboration with our lead pastor, supporting volunteers and staff in directing children and youth in weekly activities including Sunday School. An Associate’s degree or teaching certificate in a relevant field with at least four years of experience is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with two years of experience in children’s or youth ministry would be preferred. Applicants will have to pass the background check through Safe Gatherings. The starting salary for this part-time position is $3,000.00 per month. Part-time (20 hours per week max) Hybrid (remote working) Salaried ($22,000/year) Description: This is a part-time contract position. This role is designed to be a partnership role with the lead pastor and RGMCA Council. The right candidate will be someone who has an eye for details and consistently maintains a high level of execution and communication with church leadership and team members. Responsibilities & Duties: - Help with Sunday morning setup - Meet weekly with Lead pastor to dream, strategize, and plan Sunday services. - Assist Pastor with volunteer scheduling and team growth as needed. - Available for preaching: Sunday - 11:00 a.m. service. (approx. once a month) - Attend all RGMCA council meetings (Monthly)
