Rev. Jim Noble
Conference Treasurer
I am Rev. Jim Noble, and I have a passion for local church ministry and for the ministry of
administration. I have been an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church since 2013 and have served in the Texas towns of Alice (4 years), Sterling City (5 years), and San Angelo (4 years and counting). I am now thrilled to be moving into the Global Methodist Church! I served the Southwest Texas and Rio Texas Conference finance committees for approximately a decade and served as Audit Committee Chairman for approximately 8 years. Prior to attending seminary and entering vocational ministry, I spent a decade as a Certified Public Accountant and consultant, principally with Ernst & Young in Kansas City, though I traveled extensively. I am proud, and undeservedly blessed, to hold degrees from Truman State University, The University of Kansas, and Asbury Theological Seminary. I love to read, mostly history and fiction along with my daughter (who introduced me to Harry Potter). I also love watching sports and I’m most avid about the Kansas City Chiefs, having grown up in Kansas City and attended countless games. I also enjoy exercising when my body isn’t rejecting it! I’ve been married to my beautiful bride Melanie for almost 24 years and we have a 13-year-old daughter, Ella, along with 3.5 fur babies (you’ll have to ask me, it’s complicated). Melanie is a Licensed Psychologist with the Department of Defense at Goodfellow Air Force Base and is perpetually drinking from a firehose. I believe in transparency in the finance functions and that there are no bad questions. I stand on the shoulders of so many faithful men and women who have taught me a great deal and always reminded me that we never stop learning. I am so excited to build a culture of transparency and trust in the magnificent Global Methodist Church Mid-Texas Conference!
