
Ryan Barnett
Connectional Operational Officer, MidTexas Conference
Ryan Barnett is husband to Kim, dad to Davis, and an ordained elder in the Global Methodist Church (GMC). He holds a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, an MBA from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi, and is the proud holder of an “Alumni by Choice”
Award from Baylor University.
Ryan is the Conference Operating Officer (COO) of the MidTexas Conference of the GMC. At Baylor University, Ryan serves as the Senior Advisor for the Advancement of the Wesley House of Studies and teaches preaching in the Pastoral Studies Program. He is co-author of Profoundly Christian, Distinctly Methodist, Seedbed Publishing’s definitive resource for teaching GMC doctrine and theology in the local church.
Ryan served as the Finance Chair of the Convening General Conference of the GMC and was elected Chair of the Constitutional Legislative Committee that wrote the denomination’s foundational governance document.
Ryan has over 20 years of local church ministry, previously serving as pastor of First Methodist Waco as well as churches in Kerrville, Corpus Christi, and San Antonio. He enjoys watching his son play sports, traveling to new places, and spending time with his wife.
